Parents are an influential part of a teen’s life. Even though teens and young adults may be more likely to engage in distracted driving and more susceptible to making these poor choices, adults are not exempt from making these choices themselves.

By getting familiar with common distractions, parents can help set parameters for their kids and remove distractions from the vehicle, whether this is friends, the car’s dashboard controls, or food and drink. Showing kids how these few changes can make their driving safer can open their eyes to how easily they could be distracted.
