The AAA Traffic Safety Culture Index found that nearly 88% of drivers believed that distracted driving was more severe than other traffic-related issues as a safety concern. The next related concerns that worry drivers and car owners are traffic congestion, aggressive drivers, risky driving, drowsy driving, and impaired driving, with drugs and drinking posing a higher problem in recent years than it has in the past.

Now that we know what the term “distracted driving” means, the background of our organization, and the public belief about distracted driving, we will go a little deeper into the background and early studies of distracted driving.
