Rules of the Road

  1. Put your phone on “Do Not Disturb” so no calls or texts arrive while driving
  2. If you must use a GPS, then follow this rule: Always keep the phone mounted securely on the dash with 100% traffic visibility.
  3. If you don’t need a GPS, place your phone on the dashboard or hidden away out of sight.
  4. Listening to music? Set your playlist before leaving.
  5. Use an app to block incoming calls or texts while driving.
  6. Want to make a call or send a text? Pullover to a safe place before touching your phone.
  7. If your friend is driving, insist on a 100% no-phone-while-driving policy.
  8. Always remind your friends that you will not be on your phone if they try to contact you while you’re driving.
